Sometimes they don't look the same once they're up and in the light. If you plan on ripping the carpets ...How exciting! If you plan on ripping the carpets out anyway, don't bother with a drop cloth and rip them out after you paint. And go for a darker blue. We went for a blue-gray color in our bedroom and it's too light and looks kind of like a baby boy's room (I'm working on accessories to fix it because I'm too lazy to re-paint).
