Five Months Old!

Hi folks! Sorry for the lapse in blogging. I've been super busy the last few weeks and forgot to blog and set some posts up. Turns out it was a blessing in disguise, though, because Blogger Outage '11 ate a number of blogs and posts.

While I was on spring break, Hannah weighed in at over 13 lbs. She's definitely going to meet her doubled weight by 6 months goal. She continues to plump up. In fact, I look back at her photos from month one, month two, month three, and month four, and I can't believe how skinny she looks.

Nanner is growing and changing everyday. Her hand-to-mouth coordination has grown substantially in the last month, even. Right now, she's sitting across from me in the bouncer, chewing away on a teething ring. Last month, she would have struggled to bring it to her mouth and hold it for more than a few seconds.

Time for this again?
Hannah now has two teeth bursting through her gums. She's handling it like an old pro. There have only been a few days they have bothered her, but a little ice and Tylenol seems to take the edge off.

"Stoopid hooman kitten takes away my attentionz."

"I'm so big!"
She has also discovered her tongue and she loves to blow raspberries at us, especially when she's getting her diaper changed. She is completely fascinated with faces, and she'll grasp at your face with both hands if you let her get close enough.

"Sitting still is boring."

"Hannah G--OUT!"

"I think I'll have more fun over here."

"Hey! Look at me!"

"Humph! Must. Get. Moving!"

"Woo! A whole chair, just for me!"
As you can see, she loves to move. Hannah has been rolling nonstop since Easter. She hates being on her stomach, but has yet to figure out that she can move herself from her stomach onto her back. She can do it. I've seen it and her pedi has seen it. For whatever reason, she finds it more fun to roll onto her stomach and scream until one of the grownups comes around and moves her back. She's also discovered her feet and reaches for them at every available opportunity.

She's a great baby and she's sleeping through the night pretty much every night. When she doesn't, it's usually the result of her teeth bothering her or a change in her routine. Even then, she bounces back and parties on. She is one kick ass kid.

"Yay! My friend is back!"

"Mr. Dog, I love you so much."

"But this show is all about me!"

"Pow! Outta my shot, dog."

"Forget this. I'm out."

"Alrighty. I am approaching this from the wrong direction."

"I'll get rid of YOU, Mr. Dog."

"Hah! V-I-C-T-O-R-Y!"

"Okay. Now what?"

"I'm feeling a little lonely here, Mom."

"Yay! Mommy loves me!"

"You hoomans are ridiculous."
