Graham and my dad ripped up the carpet on Monday and I like it much, much better than the green patterned shag that laid on the floor.
As you can see, the creepy old lady curtains are still there, and hopefully over the weekend I'll be able to pick up some new curtains and some window shades. After that, the only thing left is to get a set of end tables and some small area rugs to put on either side of the bed.
Old lady hands aside, a pretty good color match, don'tcha think?
Great work! I love the color. The Stockholm Blad curtains in brown from Ikea would look great (well, depending on your comforter) in the room.
ReplyDeletepretty! Doesn't it make it feel more like home now?
ReplyDeleteI love the color! If you're into that kind of color scheme, chocolate brown would look good with that color. My powder room are those colors, and as soon as we start the nursery for Baby #3, I hopefully plan on using those colors for Joseph's room! Great job, though!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! It DOES feel more like home now. Definitely makes it look and feel like "our" bedroom.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of chocolate brown! I hadn't thought of that! We alternate between a dark blue comforter in the cooler months and a lighter blue blanket for the spring and summer--it's got some white and yellow patterns in it.
I'm thinking either chocolate brown or slate/gray curtains. Since the bedroom furniture is dark brown, the chocolate might tie it all together!
